Brighton & Hove Albion coach Roberto De Zerbi to leave club
Italian coach to depart after final Premier League match
Brighton & Hove Albion have announced that head coach Roberto De Zerbi will leave the club by mutual agreement after their final match of the season.
De Zerbi, who joined the club in September 2022, will depart after the Seagulls' final Premier League match of the season at home to Manchester United on Sunday 28 May.
The Italian has overseen a successful season at the Amex Stadium, guiding the team to ninth place in the Premier League and the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
However, it is understood that there have been irreconcilable differences between De Zerbi and the club's hierarchy over the direction of the team.
The club released a statement on their official website which said: "Brighton & Hove Albion can confirm that head coach Roberto De Zerbi will leave the club after the final Premier League match of the season at home to Manchester United on Sunday 28 May.
"The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Roberto for his work during his time at the Amex Stadium.
"Roberto has overseen a successful season, guiding the team to ninth place in the Premier League and the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
"We wish Roberto all the best for the future in his career."
De Zerbi is expected to be in high demand following his impressive spell at Brighton.
