Subhead:
Seth Binzer, better known by his stage name Shifty Shellshock, the lead singer of the late-1990s rap-rock band Crazy Town, has died, according to multiple reports. He was 50 years old.
Details:
No cause of death has been announced, but Binzer had been open about his struggles with substance abuse in the past. Crazy Town was best known for their 2001 hit song "Butterfly," which reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band released two albums, "The Gift of Game" in 1999 and "Darkhorse" in 2002, before disbanding in 2003.
Binzer later went on to pursue a solo career and appeared on reality TV shows such as "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" and "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars." He reunited with Crazy Town co-founder Epic Mazur for one more album, "The Brimstone Sluggers," in 2015.
